Ballaugh School

Nurturing Independent, Aspirational Learners. Supported by Strong Partnerships with Home and the Community

A request for your opinions –

On the Isle of Man all schools are permanently engaged in a process of improvement through self-review and evaluation. Through this process, called SSRE, we gather evidence which helps us to gauge how well we are doing against a set of descriptions / grades and then plan for future developments and improvements. At the moment we are considering our partnerships with you and the wider community.

I would very much appreciate any comments that you could make about the following questions by emailing

BallaughEnquiries@sch.im

(stating PARTNERSHIPS in the subject line.)(All information will be completely anonymised by Mrs Boyde once received.)

Is the school held in high regard by families and the wider community? Can you give us any examples (without anyone being identifiable) that could prove this?

Do we impact positively on the lives of children, families and the community? Can you give us any examples (without anyone being identifiable) that could prove this?

How have you been encouraged to engage with your child(ren)’s learning?

What needs within the community do we cater for well? Please share any examples that come to mind.

What needs within the community do we not cater for well? Please share any examples that come to mind.

Do you have an opinion on the success of how we prepare children for their new classes or secondary school?
