Today we visited Ballaterson Farm to learn about the cows and their milking machines. When the cow is ready to be milked, they bring themselves into the parlour and are fed their dinner whilst they give the milk.
Hayden found out what every button on the machine did and Barry explained the process. We then saw the bulk tank where the milk is held until it is collected by the Isle of Man Creamery every morning.
It was a most special last afternoon for Lilly before she starts her new school as we all enjoyed juice and biscuits in the farmyard.
