School Uniform
The children are all expected to wear school uniform. Please ensure that all clothing (including coats) are clearly labelled with your child’s name. This makes it much easier to return to them, or you. While we continue to practice "good ventilation", and to keep warm, your child is encouraged to have an additional (baggy) jumper that they can wear on top of their uniform.
Grey or black skirt / pinafores, shorts or trousers. Socks or tights of your choosing. White polo shirt. Red school sweatshirt (or red cardigan). A pair of black shoes or trainers if you believe that they will allow your child's feet to develop appropriately . Some children choose to wear a red gingham dress in the summer term.
The school sweatshirts are embroidered with the school badge and ordered online from Promenade shirts (select the Ballaugh raven logo). Unfortunately we are now unable to carry a full stock of sweatshirts as this has become financially unviable for a small school. It can be worth checking with Mrs Mylchreest to see if there is any stock remaining in school or if she has any quality used items.
P.E. KITS
P.E kits should be in a separate bag which can be hung on a peg. Most children start their time at Ballaugh School with a plain red t-shirt, blue or black PE shorts and plimsolls or pumps. Soon after they begin to wear their own style. For safety reasons, it is important that everyday school shoes are not worn for these sessions. KS2 children will require warm clothes for outdoor sports and can wear trainers. It is advised that pupils in KS 2 have spare socks as part of their PE kit.
