Today class R2 enjoyed a live link with Paige Depolo, a geoscientist and palaeontologist from Edinburgh University. All the children had prepared and asked her a range of questions linked to our dinosaur topic. Paige also shared with us that she has discovered the footprint of a Stegasaurus on the Isle of Skye and her greatest find was an entire Ichthyosaurs which she discovered back in her native state of Nevada, U.S.A..
This was a great opportunity for the children to extend their learning and be inspired as fossil hunters….just like Paige is.
